Jayson's Cotton Candy

I snitched this cute photo of Jayson eating cotton candy from Christina's Facebook and just had to do a quick page of it. I took the partial candy and copied it to make it look like a full cone of candy...putting it so that it looks like he is offering it to you. The expression on his face is simply adorable. I used Kyra's newest free kit called Moments without Time as well as a cluster from the same kit by Arlene. Hope you like this as much as I do. Have a terrific week ahead. Chat more later, Luv ya! Just Luv Dem Kitty Gurls Noses!

I have been experimenting with the camera on my Galaxy II phone!  Of course, my kitty girls are the target...LOL! I used some Autumn brag book freebies by Amanda to display some of them. Plus I used a kit by Lesley Mason at Scrapiness Down Under to make a page for them all together with wordart by April the Scrapoholic!  I also used the same kit for Miss Hayden's 4th birthday and wordart by Miss Linda that I posted on Facebook, but am putting on here for those of you that are not on Facebook (and so it will be in my next published blog book)!

The weather here is simply gorgeous....a little warm in the late afternoon, but the evenings and early mornings are simply perfect.  We had a little stormy Saturday night with high winds (blew over all my flower pots) but just enough rain to give all the flowers and grass a nice boost. We have mid 80's during the daytime and high 50's at night. Today, a light gentle breeze from the south...I still have all my windows open! (yes, the house needed dusting again, so up goes the windows to rearrange it)!
Well, time to feed the girls and the birds outside as well as my mommy cat and her 3 babies that have taken up residence in my back yard! Then fix a bite to eat, clean up and get ready for DWTS the results and then The Voice and the second debates are tonight too! Will chat with y'all some more next time, in the meantime, hope you are making lots of memories to share! Luv, Mat

Just a Scrappin"

I used one of my photos of Amy at the Gaylord in Nashville and added a cluster by Arlene from WRDH's Enchanted Autumn Time Kit so that Amy could play amongst the Fairies and dream of this wonderful vacation.
Miss Maggie in a freebie QP from Lanell at Never Forget Memories entitled Best Friends.
My handsome nephew Lance, his lady love Maggie and their daughter Hayden in a stacked paper layout from Booland designs called Precious
I snitched these photos from Maggie's FB of Hayden in the field with Daddy and Papa. I put her in 3 clusters by Ellen usings RRD kit called Autumn Blaze and used a background from RRD Pink Lemonade kit and the WA is by Donna that I recolored to use on this page.
My gorgeous niece Sebrina in a lovely QP by ScrapdeYas called Natural Orange.
Cutie Patootie Jayson is a fabulous Special Delivery....LOL! I used a kit by AimeeH called Blustery Day and a photo I got from his mom's FB account.
The adorable Ruby, Ruby, Ruby! Top photo I got off FB, she was sighing as she was at the doctors office waiting, the other is one I took in July when we visited. The QP is by Pam LeFore Designs and the LOVE was another freebie with no TOU
Last but certainly not least, Miss Jade in a Masterpiece by Note Scribbles DDD QP Be Creative. I used her class photo from this year that I got from Christina's FB Account.

You know that old John Anderson Song, Just a Swingin', well it  has been running through my brain all day so I thought I should be just a Scrappin' all day! That is exactly what I wanted to do and no one to say I can't so I did! Loved every minute of it too! Hope you enjoy looking at my handiwork. I really want to thank all the talented artists who share/sell their beautiful kits so that we can do things like this. I so enjoy the relaxation of it when I can sit long enough to create the pages. Hope all of you have a beautiful weekend ahead and make lots of terrific memories to share! Until next chat, y'all have a good one. Luv, Mat

So Very THANKFUL

I am so very thankful that my sister-in-law, Myrl and her daughter, my niece Sebrina were together and not at home last evening when the house had an electrical short and caught fire. They saw the smoke from about 3 miles away and "listened to their inner voices" telling them to check it out! Thankfully a neighbor made sure the dog was let out of the house and 7 firetrucks were called to the scene as they had to stand by and watch the house destroyed. Sure, they lost a lot of material belongings (some can be replaced, some can't) but for sure, Myrl and Sebrina could not be replaced and I am so very glad God was watching over them and they were not at home asleep when the fire broke out! The Red Cross put them in a hotel for a couple of nights, and after a few hours of cooling down the hot spots, etc they were going to be allowed in to see if they could salvage anything. Myrl's car was also burned along with the house. According to the Fire Chief the fire started in the improper wiring in the attic above the computer and freezer. The landlord was called to the scene, but he never spoke with Myrl or Sebrina. (pretty crappy if you ask me). I know they have had an outpouring of friends, relatives and their church to assist them during this very shocking time (as small towns do ya know?) Sure wish I could have gone down there, but not able to right now. I did talk with both of them last night, we said a prayer and they tried to get some rest. I am so thankful that Myrl chose to share photos of Sebrina as she grew up so now I will be busy trying to copy some of them to send to her, she was most heartbroken over losing all of Sebrina's baby photos, graduation photo and hers and my deceased brother's wedding photos. Today was a day for adjusting and healing and saying Thank You God for watching over them both. We are still blessed they are still in our family! Just had to do this page (via Miss Linda at Random Thoughts) to share on Facebook. Here's hoping y'all have a fabulous Columbus day and that the week ahead is a memorable one for all of you! Luv, Mat

I'm a bad Auntie!!

Yesterday was my great nephew's birthday...and lazy me forgot to put up the pages I had created to remember it. So very sorry, but here is the 2 page layout I did using a couple of freebies from Granny Enchanted. I used some of my favorite shots from his birth, with his mom, with his dad, in an outfit I sent him, and one with both of his sisters and cousin while we were there in July and then one his mom posted on FB just a few days ago. Isn't he just adorable? Happy First Birthday belatedly Jayson! Aunt Neenie loves you bunches!
I didn't forget, really I didn't, just have been so down with my back for almost a month now and unable to sit at the computer for very long. With the medicines the doctor gave me, I was sleeping mostly, then after a couple of falls, he decided to change my medicines to prednisone that seems to be helping with the sciatica pain. I had xrays and MRIs with contrast on Wednesday, waiting to see what those show. Anyhow, just trying to get over this latest attack with it. We have been so very warm and windy, but now the front is about to descend on us again to drop temps to more normal for this time of year and some rain supposedly for tonight and most of tomorrow. We really do need it! Well, been here long enough, got to get up and move before I can't, so will chat more with you later! Have a marvelous weekend making lots of terrific memories to share! Luv, Mat

Good Morning Ya'll

Good Sunday Morning to ya! It is cool and damp here this morning, been a nice light soaking rain since early this morning! We so need it...and the temperatures are slowly but surely falling from those triple digit days...not even in the 90's for the past 3 days. Wonderful fall weather finally!
Did you notice that my blog fairy (Miss Boots) has been here and made my blog look more like fall? Doesn't she do lovely, lovely work? I so thank her and of course, Kyra at With A Russian Dutch Heart for the kit that Linda used to decorate for me! Really put me in a scrapping mood (despite my low back giving me fits) so I took a few minutes and created a double page for my sisters' scrapbook that I am creating!
I used a cute kit called Grandma's Quilt for the background and frames (Sorry the TOU does not list name of the designer). The word-art is by LLC and the photos are all mine. Makes for a cute 2 page layout right?
Well, gotta run for now, time to get this body moving (if I can...LOL)! Chat with ya more next time, in the meantime, make lots of great memories to share with us! Have a fantastic Sunday! Luv, Mat

Glorious Weekend

It surely was a spectacular weekend here! We had a cold front move in overnight on Friday (temp on Friday 104 broke record for temps on this date)! Saturday morning it was 65 and strong winds out of the north, only made it to 83 with lots of gorgeous sunshine, then dropped to 62 overnight and only made it to 88 yesterday and was 64 this morning to top out around 93 today! But it was a weekend to be outside. It was really perfect weather!

I am still experiencing some problems with GIMP crashing on me...I updated it and something is not agreeing with my system, gotta figure out what it is! That is when I can sit for awhile and able to troubleshoot. I went to doctor on Tuesday, he adjusted my neck and upper back fine, but the lower back would not budge so he has be on muscle relaxers, my anti inflammation pills and pain pills. I do not like any type of pain pills, but he said I MUST take them until the muscles begin to relax...so I have been following directions (mostly) and just lazing and sleeping a lot. Some of the severe pain is gone, but still cannot sit for very long periods yet!

I did manage to do a few pages this past week and weekend! Miss Boots sent me an e-mail and I just had to use the words in it for these 2 pages of my sisters! I used the kit Faded Memories from Raspberry Road Designs for them. The 2 heritage pages are for my sister Kathy and one for me...using Scrapiness Down Under's kit lm90312! I will do the rest of the family when I can sit longer...LOL!

Gotta get some errands done this morning as I have several appts this week that will tie up my time! Will chat more with you next time, in the mean time, make lots of memories to share! Y'all have a good week ahead now! Luv, Mat
