Happy Birthday to you guys!!

Today, my twin nephews (Penny) will turn 31....can't believe it, I still remember when they came into this world. I created a page using a kit called Our Three Sons (Collab kit by A-manda & Nibble Scribbles at DSS) to make a memory for them that I posted on Facebook. The photos are copied via Photomyne from snapshots in a frame sitting in my bedroom. They are twins, but such totally different young men. Lance is the outdoors type, married and has 3 children of his own. Lamar is the bookworm, who prefers to be alone with just his laptop! They are good boys ('scuse me, they are still boys to me...LOL)!
Yesterday was my BIL, Jim's birthday (Kathy), so scrambling around to find some photos, I ran across one made in 1976 when they were stationed at Ft. Walton Beach that I extracted him from and put in a free QP from Mirella at LTH Designs that I put on Facebook as well. He has been my BIL a long time and I hope it stays that way for a long time yet.
The 15th Miss Hayden (Lance) turned 8 and I had to do a memory page for my sweet girl. She is so smart, staying a straight A student and loving going to school! She made the honor roll again and got another perfect attendance award. Her photo is in a Glamorous Girl QP#4 by Brigit.
Not to be outdone, here's sweet little sisters Annabeth & Eliza (Amy) in a page I needed to make cause Amy sent such sweet photos of them. The QP is a freebie by Fecnikek

And of course, I got this freebie kit by Carin Grobin Designs called Midnight that I just had to put the photos of Batgirl and Robinette (Amy) on the bat background.

I ran across this cute QP by Dea using ATS Kit of  Mediterrean Nights that I just could help but make this for Amy as a remembrance of  their first family vacation since it was a beachy scene.  I added sand and splash by Manu.
Another awesome photo by Christina of Jason and the kids at their annual trek to the pumpkin patch/apple orchard. Got this terrific free QP from Digital Scrapbooking Studio that I just had to use to do this remembrance of!

This is a TBT page I did of me from 1971, that I did NOT post anywhere else but here for me and my book...LMBO! The QP just fit the photo too well, not to scrap it.

Okay, 'tis enough of boring y'all for now. Sorry, been in a pensive mood lately as I am dealing with (a "potential" medical problem) that is taking way too long to solve....so the scrapping takes my mind off of it. No need to worry yet, so staying busy! Now, time to get off my hiney and do something constructive...or at least pretend to anyway...ROFL!
Have a wonderful weekend wherever you are and remember to fill it making lots and lots of memories to share! Until next chat....Hugs, Mat

Happy Birthday All Y'all!!

My friend, Diane, (whom I have not seen since 1961) became a great grandmother on October 5th...so I decided to surprise her with some RAK pages to commemorate the occasion. Welcome Lucas!
I used DGD Awesome 4 QP, Eudora Designs ETL QP, Booland's Precious Blue Kit, Snickerdoodles You Are A Masterpiece kit and for the life of me cannot find the designer for the first one.
I had 2 nephews celebrating birthdays....Wayne turned one on the 7th and Jeff's birthday was on the 8th. Wayne's page created using Wendy P QP & Wild West Kit. Jeff's is a Badlands Freebie paper from ADB Designs.
My friend, Jannette, asked me for a couple birthday pages for her friend Patty on the 9th, I made her 3, she couldn't decide which she liked best so she posted all of them...LOL! 2 of them are from Happy Days QPs by Designs by Brigit and 1 is a frame from Neli at Lugar Encantado Da Neli.
And this one was a gift for my sister Kathy of her friend Andrea and daughter Janet. This QP is a freebie from Kimeric Kreations.
Since it took me two hours to upload these photos and having to shut down and restart my computer 3 times to get blogger to accept them...I'm tired...think I will hush for now and feed my fur kids and me and see what I can finish up of my laundry before The Voice and Dancing With the Stars come on...LMBO! Keep making those memories to share and y'all have a marvelous week ahead...chat more with you later! Hugs, Mat

Hello October!

Holy Smokes where has this year flown too? It seems to just be flying by without allowing me time for anything....ROFLMAO!  (I really think it is called binge watching Netflix)....I seem to NOT get as much done each day because of my "addiction"!  I watched 22 episodes of Quantico in 2 days...I think that qualifies as an addiction, don't you? It has taken over this other "addiction" of blogging! Baahaahaahaa!

Since Christmas is so close, I have been trying to organize and section out some of my scrapping supplies for more room and they move DSD up a month on me, so....I had to do some more super shopping and pick up all the gorgeous freebies too! (especially the CU FB Hop at Digital Scrapbooking Studio). Now I have more copying and saving and reorganizing to do....Geez (secretly, I love it)!!

Yesterday was a great day all around. The Cowboys won...so did the Texas Rangers....so did Martin Truex, Jr in NASCAR and the USA team won the Ryder Cup (1st time in 8 years) and....and....and....best of all a friend came over and trimmed some really low hanging tree limbs that I was afraid would start scraping my roof....so today I got to pile all of them on the curb for trash removal tomorrow...(see I did sneak in some exercise other than pushing buttons on the remote)!

We have had superb temps this past week with lower humidity and lighter winds...so I got to open windows and screen doors to allow in some fresh air...rearrangement of some dust bunnies....and pollen to give my eyes and throat a fit...so only left them open for half the day, but loving it! To be a little warmer this week (of course, it's because the State Fair of Texas opened last Friday) but is to stay under 90F, which is great when the humidity is low!

Today my sister Kathy and her Jim have been married for 47 years...not bad, not bad at all! I hope they celebrate at least that many more! I used a QP by Brigit (DSStudio) from her kit Rustic Fall and a word art from Marisa at Pixel Scrapper.
My cousin (by marriage in 1957) passed away peacefully on the 28th. Since I could not attend his funeral in Kentucky, I created this tribute page for him using kits by Kyra at With A Russian-Dutch Heart and her CT Arlene and posted it to FB. The photo I used was the last one his wife sent before her passing in 2005. I haven't seen him since my father's funeral in 1998. RIP Kenneth, happy you will be reunited with your Nokie and your son Ronnie and his son. Should be a joyous reunion!
Can you believe it? Little Jayson turned 5 on the 27th....seems like just yesterday we celebrated his birth.  He is such a handsome lad and loves his chocolate donuts...I swiped this photo from his mom's Facebook page to use in this tribute. (O No, can't find who I got the QP from)
Since purple is Kathy's favorite color...and just because....I created this page for her using some techniques I learned in some tutorials...I used a damask overlay from Diane at ADB Designs (DSStudio) and the frame is from Neli at Lugar Encantado Da Neli.
I had some cute photos of Lance & Maggie's family that I wanted to scrap and found a great freebie by Dea using April the Scrapaholic's kit...I just added another frame to it for Maggie.  Her photo I had created a canvas for that she really likes. Those kiddos are growing way too fast too!
These double pages are for Amy's Scrapbook of her girls...I used frames by both Neli (Lugar Encantado Da Neli) and Miriam  (Miriam's Scraps)  (lace too) and created the backgrounds using a "cardboard" effect for them. Annabeth has her Mimi's look for sure in this photo and Amy walked in room to catch Eliza hiding under a blanket and snapped this adorable photo.
This QP is by Jilbert's Bits of Bytes (DSStudio) using her kit City By The Bay and I just had to add a photo of me made on the balcony of my hotel room with San Francisco Bay in the background. It was a very chilly, windy day in December of 2005! My first visit to that beautiful city! Great memories!
This one is trying out some Photoshop actions in my GIMP program....works pretty good, the photo is one taken at the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth a few years back...just playing with the tutorials.
Here's some things I am giving away on Miriam's Scraps if you want them.

Thanks for visiting and come back again soon. I need to get out of this chair and move about a bit before my butt falls asleep...LOL! Y'all have a great week! Until next time....keep making those wonderful memories to share! Hugs, Mat
