Still Lazy about Blogging!

Holy Cow where does the time go? It seems I was just here blogging...NOT! I am behind again, but I do have a good reason (I Think)...but will have to get back with you when I remember what it is! ROFLMAO!!
Really, it is just called LIVING each day and doing as I want! Sounds good to me! I am trying to downsize on some clutter AND I have been trying to scrap more and get caught up with my FAMILY books, etc. But, it seems even when I get up early (4 a.m. usually) and stay up later, there just isn't enough hours in the day. (Could it be that I am just not as fast moving as I used to be?) Very probable!!
I do my housework in pieces, I scrap in pieces, I love on my fur babies more and more, I nap less, I watch less TV and I cook and eat even less, but seem to stay busy, busy, busy all the time! Maybe not as organized as I used to be....or.....it could be that I am on the phone too much...YES, that is it! (at least that is what I am sticking with for now!)
We have had typical (?) spring weather since February and now...Summer is here! I've already had my AC on for over a month (cause I've had to change the filter already) and I've not been able to have the windows opened as much (allergies have been horrific this year)! Lots of wind, wind, wind and a few storms with hail (scared the heck out of fur babies at 3 a.m. yesterday morning). Look at all the tree limbs and leaves it took down (must have lasted at least 5 minutes of constant pounding of nickel to quarter sized hail)!
Everyone of us had to sweep our sidewalks off and the wind blew all day. Got a lot of rain, but not as much as those southeast of us that got a LOT of flooding! This system is moving eastward y'all so stay safe!
OK...here we go with the pages I've scrapped so that they will be in my book!
First, a tribute photo to my daddy who would have turned 101 on the eighth of April, wasn't he a handsome man? This photo was made October 1966 in Johnson City, TN.
RAK birthday page for my friend Diane's granddaughter, Julia!
Birthday greetings for my awesome niece Sebrina! Isn't she a beauty? Gorgeous green eyes!
Jade's school photo for this year...she is getting so grown and look even a beautiful smile!
Pretty and perky miss Ruby's photo for this school term!
And handsome as ever, Jayson's school photo, he loves wearing a tie!
RAK for my niece Amy's SIL Kayla and her daughter Blair just cause I loved the photo of them.
RAK of another photo of my niece Sebrina and her honey Jeffery!
Sweet patootie Annabeth with her cute smile and long curls I just couldn't resist making this one!
And not to be left out, the facial expressions of Eliza (who hates to have her photo taken)!
Celebrating my siblings for National Sibling Day. Love you guys FOREVER!
And yesterday was National Pet Day, just could not leave out my fur babies. Thanks to all the awesome and generous designers that share their lovely work with me. Check all them out by clicking on them on the right side of my page!
Well, got to get my hiney out of this chair for a bit, y'all have a fantastic Easter and remember He is Risen! Chat more with you next time. Hugs, Mat

Lazy, Lazy, Lazy!!

Okay, this post is titled lazy, lazy, lazy and that is exactly what I have been lately!  I think with all this up and down crazy weather (and the time change too) my system is just out of whack and I've had a good case of the "I Don't Care" attitude! ROFLMAO!!! At least I am being honest about my long absence from posting here! Even my pajama top today says Nope, Still Don't Care! Part of the problem was due to being out of a medication that I was told was risky for my age (GRRR) so when I ran out, I didn't renew it.  Talked with my doctor and he said I couldn't just stop it and that it was okay for me and put me back on it. (All the while he was lambasting the insurance company and the pharmacist for telling me it was risky) He knows my medical history as well as I do and says the risks don't apply to ALL in that age group and certainly not me, so now that I am back on it for 10 days so far, I'm feeling more like me again....YAY!!
I did this page on the 1st of March for the birthday of my Niece In Law, Tiffany. I don't remember who all I used, but the paper and overlay are by Miriam (I recolored).
I did a couple of scrap pages yesterday for a couple of my friends that are celebrating their birthdays today! Just put them up on Facebook to wish them a happy day. Here they are!
This is my friend Kaye, first boss I had after moving to Texas and my longest friend here! I love her dearly, just wish we saw each other more than once or twice a year. (She moved further west a few years back to care for her aging parents) I used a couple of different freebies from BooLand Designs and my most favorite photo of her!
My "cuz" Laura (aka Sugar) in a lovely QP freebie from ADB Designs at Digital Scrapbooking Studio!
This is my ex-step granddaughter Lindsey with her new daughter born on the 2nd. I used several different designers to create this page (forgot to write them all down) and today is also Lindsey's birthday, so a Big Happy Birthday to all 3 of you!
This is my ex-husband's great granddaughter born on March 2. Adelaide is with her grandma Denah in this frame created using a frame by Neli at Lugar Encantado Da Neli.
Adored this photo of Jade and just had to scrap it for my book. She is actually trying to hide that she has lost a couple of teeth, but a little smile is creeping in anyway!
Of course I had to make cutie patootie Ruby a page too, she was getting ready to get on the school bus!
And her is Mr. Cool with his tie on for his school photo shoot. Should be getting those photos from the kids soon.
Maggie had posted these photos of Wayne crying for a ride on Daddy's big tractor and I wanted to put them all on a page together. I used a free template with a couple of changes.  Will have to check and see who gifted it.
I was tidying my computer and ran across this QP I had stashed and just had to use it. I put Annabeth outside watching Papa with Eliza inside.
Amy sent some cute photos that she had taken of the girls posing for her and I created a couple of pages for her using them. Here are some more.....

I created this last one using several kits by Miriam and recoloring some elements. The one above is a freebie by Fecnikek.
This was a special RAK for my cuz "Sugar" I had done earlier in the month, forgot I would be making a birthday page for her for today! The cluster frame is from DigiDesignResort.
This one I created yesterday for a photo that Amy sent of the girls with their lap desks and "no mess" paint books. The WA is by Poki and the background paper is vintage pink by Cajoline Scraps.
And lastly, I finally took photos of my 5 blog books (2008-2016) I have had published (and my one Social Book from Facebook) to show to Miss Edna. I always use the same color and format for the blog books, just different front and back cover photos.Even, though I have been in a foul mood, I did manage a few pages. I want to thank all the designers that so generously share their talent with me so that when I get a chance, I can scrap something rather quickly.
Hope all of you are well and are having a marvelous weekend making memories to share! Will chat more next time. Hugs to all! Mat

Summer is here!

It may say February on the calendar, but....summer has arrived real early here just skipping over spring! It was 86F yesterday, to reach about 90F today. I am sitting here with all my windows up, letting the breeze chase the dust bunnies around.  My fur babies are loving sitting on the windowsills breathing fresh air. I am sure I will pay for it later (with sneezing), but it is just too warm to be inside all shut up! We have broken all records for most number of days with 80 degrees or above for the winter months! Sure do dread summer as it will probably be a very, very warm (HOT) one! LMBO!
Since I have been plagued lately with arthritis AND carpal tunnel problems in my right hand, I haven't been as active on my computer as I would like. ROFLMAO for sure! I did manage a few pages, but thankfully with using templates or freebie QPs, I haven't had to use my hand much. With a brace on the hand and wrist I can achieve a few things around here, but it's not real conducive to using a mouse and creating layouts! So........THANKS to all you designers who have such BIG and GENEROUS hearts for your help!
Here are some that I did get done.
This was for a challenge to use a template and one word with various photos of you, I chose SMILE as that is what you usually always see on my face...HaHaHaHaHa! This is just for my book mostly!
Another template I used for Amy....her hubby was off this day and they lounged together on the new couch to watch TV movies and bond for the day. (She requested a page using the photos she took)!
These photos of Maggie and Lance's 3 playing in the puddles after a rain just begged to be scrapped all together in one page.....they had a blast especially Wayne splashing on everyone!
Another of Amy and Michael's girls out for a stroll with Daddy and Mama snapped a couple of photos since they both HAD to wear their pink hats.
My first cousin, Nancy, lost her husband Al on Saturday before Valentine's Day, so I did a Memories page for her of a favorite photo, she used it at his memorial service.
These pages were by special request from Amy and Maggie of the cousins playing together. All were having a blast except for Hayden, she was in school, so I added the photo of her and Papa so she didn't feel left out of the fun. Papa was weeding in his flower bed and didn't want his photo taken, but...Amy did it anyway, LOL! He peeled and cut 2 oranges off the tree for them to eat. Thomas being new to the family made sure he was watching over all 4 of them playing!
Here's another, by request, from Kathy of her hubby and 2 sons with their beards. I think that is the last of them. I did make a paper (or tried to) for President's Day that I put on Miriam's Scraps. This is my photo made at Mt. Rushmore and a USA Flag merged together.
I need to get up from here, been sitting long enough and the brace is beginning to irritate, so will hush for now. Will chat with you again later. Hopefully you will all be enjoying the weekend that is rapidly approaching and will make lots and lots of memories to share! Until next time...Hugs, Mat

Valentine's Day Already?

I tell ya, the older you get, the faster the time goes! Seems like I just posted about January ending and now it's the middle of February! To be honest I haven't done a lot of things that I should have because old Arthritis decided to pounce on me for a bit, especially in my neck and my right "mouse" hand! Getting older is definitely not for the weak!! Anyhow, it took me more than a week to create these Valentine's Day Pages for my family...here they are!!
My sis, Kathy with her hubby and her two sons, Jason & Jeff with their wives and kiddos!
Their son Jason with wife Christina and their kids, Jade, Ruby & Jayson.
Yesterday was also the 33rd anniversary of my sister Penny and hubby Weymond, better known as Mimi and Papa...these are their 5 grandchildren.
Their son Lance (twin) with his wife Margaret (Maggie) and their 3 kiddos, Hayden, Calvin and Wayne.
Their daughter Amy Jo with her hubby Michael and their daughters, Annabeth and Eliza.
My sweet great niece, Hayden, she is the only one that thought enough of me to send me a Valentine's Day card that she picked out for me....she loves and misses me...so I just had to make her a special page by herself. Isn't she adorable in Miss Edna's freebie QP?
My sweet sister-in-law Myrl with her beautiful daughter, Sebrina and her beau Jeffrey and his son Thomas!
Another sister-in-law, Inez with her hubby Larry! They are buried under a lot of snow in Massachusetts!
And lastly, my sister-in-law, Jannette and her hubby Mike. I just adore this photo, guess that is why I use it so much.
I posted all these on Facebook for them and wanted them in my book for next year. Thanks to all the designers for the freebies I used. K, got to stop for awhile, my fingers are refusing to work...y'all take care, have a fabulous weekend and make sure to make lots and lots of memories to share! Chat more next time! Hugs to all! Mat
