Yea...Winter is back for another visit....UGH!

We had some pretty nice spring weather there for a week or so....now old man winter is rearing his ugly head again...! Will this winter never leave us? I know we haven't had it as bad as other up north, but it has been rough for this part of the country just the same. I am thankful everyday that I moved from the frozen north to the sunny south after this weather they have had. When it got to zero here it was bad, but only for a couple of days, up north of us...it got way below zero and has stayed there...I feel for all of you. We had almost 80 mid week last week, this mid week, we are expecting sleet and below freezing temps starting tonight, but it will be back to 70 by the weekend. Crazy, crazy weather patterns all over the world this time. Even the Olympics suffered because of the weather. I am sorry to see the Olympics end, but kind of glad I can do something else now, but watch TV...LOL! This is the first time I have been able to watch all of it and enjoyed it immensely. We did well in the medal count too! Loved the ice dancing portion this year!

I did manage to do some scrapping, as I said earlier, I was working on a project for my niece Amy, half way through with it and am having a good time doing it too! Here are a few pages I've made recently that I shared on Facebook, just want to have them in my blog book when I print it the end of the year...let's see if I can remember all the fantastic designers that helped in these pages...LOL!

My TBT (Throw Back Thursday) page for Facebook of my sister Penny in a lovely QP by Laurrie at CheyOkota Digital Scraps.
Me and Penny in early 80's I think, this QP is also by Laurrie at CheyOkota Digital Scraps.
Here's one to say Congrats to my "step" grandson, Emilio, upon his graduation from boot camp and training at Ft. Leonardwood.  He is headed to Korea for a year...so proud of him, this QP is by Sugarbutt Designs. the photos are of him and his dad Miguel.

Guess that will be all for now, gotta shut down and finish dinner as THE VOICE is on again tonight. I just love, love, love that show...could it be because of Blake Shelton...O yes, yes, yes!  ROFL...chat more with you guys next time...meantime.....keep making all those memories to share with all of us. Have a great week ahead and hope you can stay safe and warm wherever you may be.  Hugs, Mat

Happy 30th Anniversary

Penny & Weymond, I wish you another 30 years together! Love you both! Happy Valentine's Day too!
I used a lovely freebie from Laurrie at Cheyokota Digital Scraps from her Potting Shed kit, a new stamp by Donna at Donna's Digital Creations, and mask 18 by Lufka & Co. The photo is from their wedding day, February 14, 1984.

Today, I also used a freebie Marzia Place QP to put a photo of their daughter Amy from 1989 with her daughter Annabeth made yesterday....isn't this sweet?
Plus, here's one from 1961 of me holding Penny at about the same age....I love it...!
3 generations of look alikes...! Mother, daughter, granddaughter! This is a QP by lisete. Y'all have a great day and a better weekend...make lots and lots of memories to share. Chat more next time. Hugs, Mat

Another lovely surprise!

2 more gorgeous layouts by Kyra of my Sweet MzKitty and the cutie Tom after his surgery. I will have to upload photos more often so she can do others....LOL....seriously, aren't they simply lovely to look at? She is just the sweetest lady! So very talented and makes such beautiful scraping kits and then she generously shares them all for free three times a week. I think I have every kit she has offered from her early, early days to now. Thanks again Kyra for the surprise, the kits and especially your friendship. Many hugs sent across the ocean to you!
Man, it has been so very cold, cold, cold for us this week. We were to have a "dusting" of snow that turned into an inch or more (some places close got 2-3 inches) the temperature was 17 with wind chills at zero and the police worked more than 1200 accidents on the highways on Thursday alone. Yesterday it was still cold, but the flakes flew north and south of us...and today it is finally above freezing so the leftover snow is melting. The good thing is the wind has totally stilled so it is not so bad going outside. I had an appointment for my mammogram on Wednesday morning, got all my chores done and all my shopping done and I have hibernated since then. We were asked to conserve as much energy as we could during those days, no excessive usage if at all possible(no washers/dryers/computers/etc)...because of the strain on the Electric Plants and possible black outs...today, they finally lifted that restriction. Needless to say, I got some much deserved rest and got a lot of reading done on my Kindle!
Did you watch the opening ceremonies last evening? Weren't they grand? I am excited the Olympics are under way. Sochi,  Russia is not that far from where I spent 2 years in Yalova, Turkey. That area of the world is very lovely when the weather cooperates, and they are warmer than most of us are here....ROFL! I will be glued to the TV in about another hour until bedtime as the games start about 1:30. I've gotten all my chores done, house is clean, laundry is done, me & cats have full tummies...so we are ready to pile up together and watch them.
I am still creating pages for Amy, to date, I have 70 pages for her to choose from for her books. I hope she likes them, I sent her an email with 58 of them in thumbnail size this morning....LMBO! Now, I am going to visit with Kyra, Miss Edna and Neli for a couple of minutes before I shut down for the afternoon and evening. Y'all have a great weekend and whatever you choose to do...make lots of memories to share!
Luv y'all!  Mat    Go Team USA!

What a lovely surprise!

I received this in my mailbox yesterday and was so very, very happy to get it. Isn't it gorgeous? Kyra created this using her Written Secrets kit that really enhances MzKitty's beautiful Tortie colors!

She is back in front of my monitor again this morning, but no sunshine...we started at 65F this morning, it is now in the upper 30's and they are calling for ice and snow tomorrow....I so want off this Merry-Go-Round of up and down weather. Thanks for looking y'all. I just had to share it here and for it to be in my blog book and I will have it printed to be framed.  Thanks again Kyra for the lovely surprise! Hugs for all!  Go Peyton Manning!!!!!
