Sweltering Hot Here!

I know, I know, I know....been really lazy and lax about blogging! I've just been on a reading binge, as well as some unexpected long phone conversations with a couple of friends that I haven't spoken with in awhile, a visitor for out of state, cleaning up some outside and inside (flower pots, windows and windowsills, changing sheers, etc), binge watching a few shows and just all around lazy, lazy, lazy!
I did some personal stuff for my tax guy and when I delivered to him, he told me he is retiring and sold his business.....so, I will not have to work next spring! Not sure if I am happy or sad about that yet as that was extra monies put aside for taxes and insurance on the duplexes! But I am very happy that he is going to have some time to do some of the things he and his family like to do before he is unable to!
No Fall temperatures for us anytime soon. It is almost unbearably hot here again this week with the increased humidity! 104F is predicted for today and is to be close to that all week, but supposedly a "cold" front will move into the area over the weekend dropping us into the upper 80's and a possibility of some rain!
I have managed a few scrap pages during this lazy spell, only because Amy sent some cute photos and Annabeth had a birthday, and my BIL has a birthday today and Amy asked me to create some pages using her vacation photos!  I have put some on Facebook, but not all of them...I did a couple of TBT pages too...LMBO...scanning old albums has been really a blast with lots of journeys into some awesome memories! Check these out!
Me with my #2/3 hubby, "Fuzzy" in 1971 in a QP by Mirella at LTH Designs!
Here you see my SIL (Fuzzy's sister) Inez and her hubby Larry in a page by Mirella of LTH Designs!
This photo of me toasting to a Turkey dinner served in my new home back in 1990! This page was created using several different designers, Designs by Briget background, GTD frame and clusters, stitching by
Happy Birthday to my school chum (from 1960) Diane in Michigan. The photo was from her FB and the QP is by Miriam.
This page is for my (stepsister) Frances of her and her grandchildren in August...photo made just after her chemo treatment. The page is by
Sweet Annabeth turned 3 on the 7th of this month and had an Ariel themed part, so she loved this greeting from Ariel, using a clipart (free) and a frame by Neli. I love the second one because of the colors and her facial expression...the photo is from Eliza's birthday party in May and the page is from Digital Design Resort
This one is of Annabeth and Eliza showing affection for each other and playing together. The QP and alpha are from Just So Scrappy!
Today is my Weymond's birthday (my BIL) so I used a freebie from Studio Manu and a photo I recently scanned from his visit to my home in TX in the early 80's! Probably only time he's been that far from home! LMBO!

These are all from Amy's first family vacation together in Florida. They really did enjoy the beach and the shows. I used several designers freebie QP's for this album for her. Manu, Fecknek, Snickerdoodle.
This one after they got home and Daddy and Eliza took a nap together. Just so sweet I had to create this page using Snickerdoodle's You Are a Masterpiece Kit! I will find the missing information and create the links in a bit. I can't find my paper where I wrote them down and my memory is slipping. LMBO!
Anyhow, I need to get my hiney up from this chair and fix something to eat...it is almost 2 p.m. and I have only had 2 cups of coffee today, so getting hungry!
Chat with you more later....Hugs, Mat

  1. You are so right to take it easy and lazy, specially with those temperatures you have there!
Still you managed to do quite some layouts!
Here it has become much cooler now, bit of sun, bit of clouds, temps around 20C(would love it to stay this way all the way through end of March next year LOL!).
Just finished a quick shopping for some groceries and now waiting that on tv starts the opening of the parlamentale year, called "Prinsjesdag" Then the King and Queen take a ride in a special coach and the King has a speech and it is always fun to see and they have wonderful weather this year for the ride through a part of town centre.
And now I will have just enough time perhaps to try to start a new kit and then settle down on the couch to watched tv.
    Have a wonderful day, dear!

  2. My goodness, you certainly have been busy. Your scrap pages are just beautiful. I know how you feel about not working in the spring, and not having the extra money for the bills, but you will make it through alright. I felt the same way when I stopped working, but eventually I managed to figure how to get along without the extra money.

Think of not having so much work stress and not being so tired for those months. It all works out. Your fur babies will be especially happy about all of this.

The weather here is getting too cool for my liking. Winter is going to be closing in soon and I'll be counting the days till Spring.

Enjoy your TV and your kitties, and have a great day. Hugs, Edna B.
