It may say February on the calendar, but....summer has arrived real early here just skipping over spring! It was 86F yesterday, to reach about 90F today. I am sitting here with all my windows up, letting the breeze chase the dust bunnies around. My fur babies are loving sitting on the windowsills breathing fresh air. I am sure I will pay for it later (with sneezing), but it is just too warm to be inside all shut up! We have broken all records for most number of days with 80 degrees or above for the winter months! Sure do dread summer as it will probably be a very, very warm (HOT) one! LMBO!
Since I have been plagued lately with arthritis AND carpal tunnel problems in my right hand, I haven't been as active on my computer as I would like. ROFLMAO for sure! I did manage a few pages, but thankfully with using templates or freebie QPs, I haven't had to use my hand much. With a brace on the hand and wrist I can achieve a few things around here, but it's not real conducive to using a mouse and creating layouts! So........THANKS to all you designers who have such BIG and GENEROUS hearts for your help!
Here are some that I did get done.
This was for a challenge to use a template and one word with various photos of you, I chose SMILE as that is what you usually always see on my face...HaHaHaHaHa! This is just for my book mostly!
Another template I used for Amy....her hubby was off this day and they lounged together on the new couch to watch TV movies and bond for the day. (She requested a page using the photos she took)!
These photos of Maggie and Lance's 3 playing in the puddles after a rain just begged to be scrapped all together in one page.....they had a blast especially Wayne splashing on everyone!
Another of Amy and Michael's girls out for a stroll with Daddy and Mama snapped a couple of photos since they both HAD to wear their pink hats.
My first cousin, Nancy, lost her husband Al on Saturday before Valentine's Day, so I did a Memories page for her of a favorite photo, she used it at his memorial service.
These pages were by special request from Amy and Maggie of the cousins playing together. All were having a blast except for Hayden, she was in school, so I added the photo of her and Papa so she didn't feel left out of the fun. Papa was weeding in his flower bed and didn't want his photo taken, but...Amy did it anyway, LOL! He peeled and cut 2 oranges off the tree for them to eat. Thomas being new to the family made sure he was watching over all 4 of them playing!
Here's another, by request, from Kathy of her hubby and 2 sons with their beards. I think that is the last of them. I did make a paper (or tried to) for President's Day that I put on Miriam's Scraps. This is my photo made at Mt. Rushmore and a USA Flag merged together.
I need to get up from here, been sitting long enough and the brace is beginning to irritate, so will hush for now. Will chat with you again later. Hopefully you will all be enjoying the weekend that is rapidly approaching and will make lots and lots of memories to share! Until next time...Hugs, Mat

So sorry to hear that your hand is giving you so much trouble. I have the same problems with my right hand so I know how hard it is to accomplish a lot on the computer at any one sitting. I do hope you get some relief soon. I find that Advil sometimes helps quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteYour scrap layouts are beautiful, as usual. I was hoping to see a photo of your new blog book. It must be gorgeous.
We've been enjoying some really lovely weather this past week. It may not last but it sure feels good.
So much to do today as Pogo and I will be going on vacation tomorrow. We can't wait to get to Florida.
Take care of your hand, and have a super day, hugs, Edna B.
It sucks when you are not able to do all what you want to because of arthritis, or being sick, or whatever. Know how it feels. Just take care of your hand/arm and give it enough rest, possibly the best for it.
ReplyDeleteMay be it is already too warm in your area, but I sure would want those temps here! Although we shouldn;t complain too much, didn;t have much real winter till now and hope that it will not come anymore either.
health is going better, just will have to gather somehow more energy again. It will come, slowly may be, but for sure.
Have a great week, take care.
Hug
Kyra
Hi Mat, thanks for dropping by and chatting with me! Hope your hand is better soon. I haven't had anything done on mine yet, but i'm sure it's going to have to happen in the near future. Right now my arm is what giving me problems. Hurting like hell! But we are leaving Friday so it just has to behave itself!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your warm weather, we got snow again last night, but most of it will melt today. We got the freezing rain before the snow, so it was really icy for those driving early this morning.
We went out to breakfast with a few friends this morning and the roads are slowing getting better.
Got everything ready for the trip, just gotta pack it and we are ready.
Take care my friend, will talk when I get back.
Hugs Donna
